The Saudi Universities Esports League is an annual championship organized virtually with the participation of universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The finals are held at one of the universities, where professional male and female students compete in various electronic games. The league started in 2021 aiming to develop and support the field of esports in the Kingdom, in collaboration with the Saudi Universities Sports Federation and the Saudi Esports Federation.

The Saudi Universities Esports League consists of two separate editions, one for male university students and the other for female students. Players compete virtually for four titles in various games: FIFA 21, Rocket League, Rainbow Six Siege, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Participants in the Saudi Universities Esports League

In 2021, about twenty-five Saudi universities and colleges participated in the Saudi Universities Esports League, represented by five hundred male and female players. The electronic championships lasted for four days, and six universities qualified for the finals of the Saudi Universities League in the FIFA 21 championship. These universities are Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, University of Hail, Taibah University, Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud University, King Saud University, and University of Jeddah.

Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University in al-Kharj Governorate hosted the finals of the Saudi Universities Esports League for 2021. The event was broadcast live on Saudi sports channels.

Winners of the Saudi Universities Esports League

Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud University won the Saudi Universities Esports League in the FIFA 21 championship, securing the championship cup and first place. Taibah University came in second, and Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University came in third. King Abdulaziz University achieved first place in the Rainbow Six Siege championship, Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud University came in second, and the third place went to Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University.
