Al-Arif Mountain (Jabal al ʻAryf) is one of the mountains of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is located northeast of Fayfa Governorate and is the highest mountain in Jazan Province, rising 2,632 m above sea level. It is part of the Tihama Highlands within the Sarawat Mountains, which extend from the border with the Republic of Yemen to an area north of Taif City.

Natural features

The vegetation cover of Al-Arif Mountain consists of several tree species, including acacia trees, junipers, and wild olive trees. Seasonal rainfall contributes to the expansion of green pastures and the growth of several aromatic plants.

Rocks

Al-Arif Mountain consists of igneous and metamorphic rocks characterized by their hardness and resistance to erosion. Several valleys descend from its rocky edges and drain into the Red Sea.
