Saudi Media Academy
The Saudi Media Academy is one of the Ministry of Media's initiatives in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, launched in 2024 as part of the Digital Content Program. It offers training programs in media and digital advertising to support and empower practitioners and enthusiasts, in collaboration with specialized global universities and institutes. In the same year of its launch, it received a professional license from the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) as a non-profit institution in the field of technical and vocational training.
Importance
The Saudi Media Academy offers participants accredited professional certifications, while also enhancing media knowledge and skills. It provides specialized training programs and tracks, alongside offering learning through the FutureX digital education and training system. The academy follows global best practices and methodologies in training and development.
Objectives
The Saudi Media Academy aims to provide specialized training programs to develop and support the digital era's requirements and future aspirations in the media sector. It contributes to supporting media practitioners and enthusiasts by offering high-quality programs with local and international accreditations. Additionally, it empowers media professionals through e-learning and remote training. Several global universities and institutes, including the University of Illinois, the University of Colorado Denver, and the Digital Marketing Institute, participate in delivering its programs.
Tracks of programs
The Saudi Media Academy programs encompass several tracks: Social Media Advertising and Marketing, Concepts and Strategies in Performance Marketing and Digital Advertising, Creative Design, and Digital Advertising.
The Saudi Media Academy launched the "Media Leaders Track," a multi-stage training program whose first cohort commenced in 2025 for a four-month period. It featured the participation of forty male and female leaders from the public and private sectors, offering intensive training programs delivered by international experts, as well as field visits to leading media and communication organizations.
It also launched the "Sports Media Track" aimed at developing specialized talent by providing high-quality training programs tailored to sector needs. On May 4, 2026, the Academy launched a package of specialized training programs under this track in collaboration with Thmanyah Publishing and Distribution. The programs cover developing sports analysis capabilities, working as a field reporter, enhancing sports presenter skills, and strengthening voice-over skills through practical application in line with the latest media practices.
Scholarships
The Saudi Media Academy offers scholarships to those interested in enrolling in its training programs through various government entities, media institution employees, enthusiasts, influencers, and professionals in diverse media sectors.
