Rakan Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz
His Royal Highness Prince Rakan Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, (born 1999), is a member of the Royal Family and has been Governor of Diriyah Governorate at the excellent rank since the issuance of the Royal Order appointing him on February 12, 2026.
Upbringing and Education
Prince Rakan Bin Salman was born on February 14, 1999 in Riyadh, and received his education in Riyadh schools. He drew from the teachings of his father, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, the arts of administration and politics, and combined in his education modern sciences with essential knowledge and skills.
He obtained a bachelor’s degree in law with honours from the College of Law and Political Science at King Saud University in 2020, and holds a certificate in youth leadership programmes from the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.

Prince Rakan Bin Salman has held memberships in a number of bodies, including:

- Member of the Board of Trustees of King Salman Non-Profit Foundation.
- Worked at the Bureau of Experts at the Council of Ministers in 2023.
- Worked in the Graduate Development Program at the Public Investment Fund (PIF) from November 2023 to November 2024.
- Worked in the Legal Advisory Department for Middle East and North Africa Investments at the Public Investment Fund from November 2024 to February 2026.
- Member of the Board of Directors of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC).
- Member of the Board of Directors of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA).
- Member of the Board of Directors of Diriyah Company.
