His Excellency Abdulrahman Bin Abdulmohsen al-Fadley is the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He is the first minister of the ministry under its current name.

His career

He graduated with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from King Saud University in the capital, Riyadh, in 1982. After thirteen years in the petroleum industry, he joined Almarai Company in 1996, serving as chief executive officer (CEO) and general manager of Almarai factories in al-Kharj. In 2000, he became the CEO of Almarai for fifteen years. On January 29, 2015, he was appointed as the Minister of Agriculture. Subsequently, he served as the Minister of Water and Electricity. Following a Royal Order on May 7, 2016, the Ministry of Water and Electricity was dissolved, and the Ministry of Agriculture was renamed the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture.

He is the chairman of the Board of Directors of: The General Food Security Authority (GFSA), the Saudi Irrigation Organization, the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC), the General Organization for Conservation of Coral Reefs and Turtles in the Red Sea (Shams), the National Water Company (NWC), the Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC), the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC), the Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC), the National Company for Seed Production and Agricultural Services, the Agricultural Development Fund, King Abdulaziz Center for Purebred Arabian Horses, and the National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah), the National Center for Wildlife (NCW), the National Center for Vegetation Development and Combating Desertification (NCVD), the National Center of Meteorology, the National Center for Environmental Compliance, the National Center for Waste Management (MWAN), and the National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases (WEQAA), the National Center for Palms and Dates, the Environment Fund, the National Livestock and Fisheries Development Program, and the Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program.

He served as chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Dairy and Juice Company and the Technical Institute for Dairy and Food. He was also the chairman of the Board of Directors of Mondelēz International '7Days' and United Farmers Company, a member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company 'SALIC', and Hail Company, and a member of the Engineering Council of the College of Engineering at King Saud University.
