Bandar al-Khorayef
His Excellency Bandar Bin Ibrahim Bin Abdullah al-Khorayef has been a Minister of State in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since July 11, 2026, member of the Council of Ministers, and assigned to perform the duties of Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries in addition to his current position.
He served as Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources from August 30, 2019, until July 11, 2026, becoming the first minister appointed to head the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources following its independence from the Ministry of Energy. He has also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority since August 23, 2020, until August 13, 2026.
His education
He completed his university studies with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from King Saud University in the capital, Riyadh. Additionally, he pursued courses in management, leadership, and investment at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland.
His career
He has over twenty-five years of experience in the fields of industry, trade, and investment, holding several key positions. These include Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Industrial Development Fund, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Export Development Authority. He has also served as Vice President and Managing Director at the Arabian Agricultural Services Company (ARASCO), and as Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Middle East Food Solutions Company (MFSCO). Furthermore, he has been a member of various boards of directors, such as the Saudi Economic Association, the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, AMACO in Ukraine, and the Arabian Production Marketing Lubricants Company (Castrol) in partnership with British Petroleum (BP), in addition to holding other significant roles in finance and industry.
