His Highness Prince Badr Bin Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Farhan Al Saud (born on August 16, 1985) has been the Minister of Culture since June 2, 2018, and the Governor of the Royal Commission for AlUla. He is the first minister appointed to the Ministry of Culture after independence from the Ministry of Media.

Prince Badr completed his bachelor’s degree in Law at King Saud University in Riyadh. He is known for his diverse cultural background as well as his active nature. Upon taking over as Minister of Culture, eleven cultural commissions were established, and fourteen culture-related awards were launched, which later increased to sixteen awards. The Kingdom also gained membership on the Executive Board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO,) the World Heritage Committee, and the Intangible Cultural Heritage Committee for the first time.

Prince Badr Bin Abdullah holds several positions, including Chairman of the Misk Art Institute. He was elected President of ICOM Arab before serving as Chairman of the Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG) He also served as Chairman of the Saudi Heritage Preservation Society.
He is also the Chairman and member of several councils and committees, including the National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, the Board of Trustees of King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, and a board member of the Royal Commission for AlUla.
