The Saudi Professional League for Esports (Saudi eLeague) is an online football championship similar to the Roshn Saudi League. It represents the sixteen football clubs in the Roshn Saudi League with thirty-two e-football players, through a series of matches in the FIFA 23 game. The league also includes elite e-football players from the Asian continent, the Middle East, and North Africa. It was launched by the Saudi Esports Federation in 2020.

The Saudi Professional League for Esports falls under the strategy of the Ministry of Sports to support sports clubs. Clubs earn points by participating in official e-sports, in addition to earning extra points when they achieve top positions.

Groups of the Saudi Professional League for Esports

The Saudi Professional League for Esports consists of sixteen teams, divided into two groups, with eight clubs in each group. They compete in a group stage, and four teams from each group qualify for the knockout stages, culminating in the final matches. The e-matches are broadcasted on the Saudi Esports Federation platforms, Twitch and YouTube, with analysts and commentators from the Arabian Gulf in a special analytical studio for the Saudi Professional League for Esports competitions.

Winners of the Saudi Professional League for Esports

Al-Ittihad team won the first edition of the championship in 2020. The professional level of players in the second edition of the league demonstrated the growth of e-sports in the Kingdom and the improvement of the local industry. Al-Ittihad Club also consecutively won in the second and third editions of the league in 2021 and 2022.

Empowering players in the Saudi Professional League for Esports

The Saudi Esports Federation has enabled Saudi players to participate in global platforms in sports through national championships. For instance, al-Ittihad Club and al-Nassr Club qualified for the FIFA e-Club World Cup.
