Al-Muatadil Village is a global destination for hosting international equestrian championships in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It highlights the value of al-Ula Governorate in heritage, culture, arts, and sport, contributing to achieving one of the strategies of the al-Ula Vision for comprehensive development, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The Royal Commission for alUla presented the designs for 'al-Muatadil Equestrian Village' on March 4, 2023, during the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Endurance Cup 2023. This is part of the ongoing development of infrastructure and facilities as additional tourist attractions for al-Ula.

Targets of al-Muatadil Village
The Royal Commission for alUla aims to attract 120,000 visitors annually to al-Muatadil Equestrian Village by 2035. This will be achieved through hosting sixty-four equestrian events that align with al-Ula's Governorate tourism activities and sustainability principles.
The designs of al-Muatadil Village are inspired by the natural heritage of the governorate. The commission aims to make the village a destination for equestrians to practice their favorite sport amidst al-Ula's historical environment, creating a comprehensive and attractive venue dedicated to equestrian activities, thereby enhancing the Kingdom's global standing.
International partnerships in al-Muatadil Village and equestrian sports
The American company "AECOM", specializing in infrastructure, is developing the master plan for al-Muatadil Equestrian Village in collaboration with the Royal Commission for alUla and the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation.
The village will contribute to creating and strengthening economic opportunities through partnerships between the Royal Commission for alUla and several organizations and companies in the sector. These include the French Association for Racehorse Training (AFASEC), which will handle the training and development of both male and female equestrians. Additionally, the partnership with the Saint-Tropez Polo Club will stimulate interest in equestrian sports and provide guidance on the polo game.
