Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation is one of the sports federations in Saudi Arabia. It is the entity responsible for equestrianism and the main representative for Olympic equestrian sports in Saudi Arabia. The federation operates from its headquarters in Riyadh.

The federation aims to elevate the technical level and enhance the standards of participants in all technical, cultural, and social aspects. It also seeks to strengthen good relations with similar federations in Arab, Islamic, and friendly countries.

Establishment of Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation

Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation was established in 1989, initially under the name of "Saudi Federation for Equestrian Sports and Archery." With the reformation of sports federations in 2001, its name was changed to the "Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation." It is a member of several associations, including the Arab Equestrian Federation, the Asian Equestrian Federation, the International Tent Pegging Federation, the International Equestrian Tourism Federation, and the International Horseback Archery Federation. It has been a member of the International Equestrian Federation since 1990.

Tasks of Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation

Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation is responsible for several tasks, including amplifying the local practice of equestrians to reach an international level, developing relevant plans and regulations, ensuring an optimal environment for horse riding enthusiasts, educating the public on the significance of equestrianism and its history, and supporting horse owners, riders, equestrian training centers, and related entities to enhance the standards of equestrians.

Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation Championships

The federation organizes several championships to promote equestrians in the Kingdom, including hosting the World Show Jumping Championship.

The federation participates in local and international championships across various equestrians, including endurance, and marathons, and oversees local equestrian championships, e.g., show jumping, endurance, tent pegging, and marathons.

Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation organizes various championships and races, including sixty-nine championships, of which sixteen are international, including five sports: show jumping, endurance, tent pegging, marathons, and horseback archery.

In 2023, Saudi Arabia received the flag for hosting the FEI Jumping World Cup, which will be held in Riyadh in 2024 for the first time in the Middle East.
