










Al-Qadsiah Club is a sport club in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a club in the Saudi Pro League. Its headquarters is located in Al-Khobar in the Eastern Province. It was established in 1967, and Prince Saud Bin Jalawi Sport City Stadium in Al-Rakah Neighborhood is the main stadium for the club’s matches.
Stages of establishing Al-Qadsiah Club
Al-Qadsiah Club is one of the first clubs that established football in the Eastern Province. Its establishment went through several stages; starting in 1935 when young men from Al-Khobar working for Aramco created a team called Al-Ahly. In 1943, its name was changed to Al-Hilal. In 1946, Al-Nahda Club was founded to compete with Al-Hilal Club. After a while, the name of Al-Nahda was changed to Al-Ittihad Club. In the same year, Al-Shabab, Al-Ahly, Al-Najah, Al-Sharar, and Al-Nahda clubs were founded. Then, Al-Shabab, Al-Ittihad, and Al-Hilal clubs were merged under the name of Al-Shoulla Club, and Al-Ahly, Al-Nahda, and Al-Najah clubs were merged under the name of Al-Wahda Club. In 1967, Al-Shoulla and Al-Wahda clubs were merged under the name of Al-Qadsiah Club.
Naming of Al-Qadsiah Club
The name of Al-Qadsiah Club was linked to the Battle of Al-Qadsiah that took place in Iraq. It is about sixty-five km away from Kufa, and is known today as Al-Diwaniyah Governorate.
Al-Qadsiah Club games
Al-Qadsiah Club encompasses several games, reaching about twelve games, most notably football, which includes: the senior team, youth, juniors, U15, and U13, in addition to futsal, handball, wrestling, judo, water polo, basketball, taekwondo, swimming, karate, table tennis, and tennis.
Al-Qadsiah Club competed in a larger number of sport. In 2021, it included billiards and snooker among its activities. It was the first Saudi club to establish a special team for this sport since the foundation of the Saudi Billiard and Snooker Federation more than twenty-five years ago. This was the first time for this game to be practiced by clubs.
Al-Qadsiah Club championships
Throughout its history, Al-Qadsiah Club has achieved a number of championships added to its record of sporting achievements both at the local and continental levels, including the Crown Prince Cup in 1992, the Asian Cup Winners' Cup in 1993, and the Saudi Federation Cup in 1994. In terms of other sporting activities, Al-Qadsiah team was crowned champion of the U13 Premier League for the 2021-2022 sport season. In 2022, the club won the U16 Water Polo Championship Cup, which was held under the organization of the Saudi Swimming Federation. In other games, Al-Qadsiah won the Youth Water Polo Championship Cup, youth category in May 2022, organized by the Saudi Swimming Federation.
Aramco’s acquisition of Al-Qadsiah Club
On June 5, 2023, the Ministry of Sport officially announced the transfer of ownership of Al-Qadsiah Club to Aramco.
Women's sport at Al-Qadsiah Club
During the 2023 season, Al-Qadsiah Club launched women's sport in different games: football, volleyball, karate, taekwondo, wrestling, judo, basketball, table tennis, bicycles, and darts.
