Jasmine (Al-Ful) cultivation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is centered in Jazan Province, located in the southwest of Saudi Arabia. Locally, it is known as “Jazan Al-Ful, Winter Resort of All,” and the expression “Jazan Al-Ful” is widely recognized. Jazan's climate and soil create ideal conditions for growing the aromatic jasmine plant. According to data, Jazan is home to over 350,000 jasmine trees across nearly 950 farms. In 2023 alone, the province produced around 525 t of jasmine, generating annual sales exceeding SAR18 million.

Jasmine is part of Jazan’s cultural heritage, which has helped sustain its cultivation. It is woven into garlands worn by both men and women during celebrations such as weddings, when receiving guests, and celebrating births.

Farmers plant jasmine in the spring, taking advantage of the cooler temperatures. They nurture the plants through regular irrigation and by constructing square wooden trellises that support the vines’ growth and make them easier to manage.
