The pillars of the Prophet’s Mosque in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah are the columns supporting the domes within Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah (the Noble Chamber). During the time of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him (PBUH), these pillars were made of palm trunks. They were later replaced with stone columns. These pillars stand as historical markers tied to the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), still bearing the same names they were known by during his time. Their names are inscribed in gold on green plaques. Among them are:

Al-Mukhallaqah Pillar: This was erected where the trunk once stood that longed for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He used to lean against it before the pulpit was built. It is also known as "The Banner of the Messenger of Allah Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)."

Al-Qur'ah Pillar: Also called the Pillar of Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) and the Pillar of Al-Muhajireen (the Emigrants).

Al-Tawbah Pillar: Also known as the Pillar of Abu Lubabah.

Al-Sareer Pillar: Located to the east of Al-Tawbah Pillar, adjacent to the window overlooking Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah.

Al-Mahras Pillar: Also called the Pillar of Ali Ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), as he used to sit beside it to guard the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Al-Wufood Pillar: Where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would sit to receive visiting Arab delegations.

Murba‘at Al-Qabr Pillar: Also referred to as Maqām Jibrīl.

Al-Tahajjud Pillar: Located behind the house of Fatimah, the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
