Turki Saleh al-Awad (born on March 31, 1971) has been a member of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since October 20, 2020. He is the deputy chairman of the council's Culture, Sports, and Tourism Committee.

Turki al-Awad obtained his bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from King Saud University in Riyadh City. He earned a master's degree in Media and Communication from the University of Leeds, Britain, and a doctoral degree in Media and Communication from the University of Sheffield, Britain.

Life of Turki al-Awad

Turki al-Awad was a permanent guest on broadcast media. He also worked with the local press as an opinion writer. He worked as an assistant professor at Prince Saud al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a position he assumed while studying media courses, including public diplomacy and presentation and diction.

Memberships of Turki al-Awad

Turki al-Awad is a member of the board of directors of the Saudi Sports Media Federation. He is a member of the committee tasked with determining the terms and conditions for the sports season awards, formed by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation for setting the terms and conditions for the 2018 season awards. He is also a member of the committee tasked with naming the committees operating under the Saudi Arabian Football Federation for 2018.

In 2019, he was elected deputy chairman of the Arab Sports Press Association during the elections held by the association's general assembly in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

Additionally, Turki al-Awad is a member of the second committee of parliamentary friendship committees at the Saudi Shura Council, which includes parliaments from Britain, Ireland, Iceland, Nigeria, Ghana, Gambia, Togo, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Niger, Benin, and Cape Verde.
