September 21, 1975

The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu was established to develop and manage Jubail and Yanbu Industrial Cities, Ras al-Khair City for Mining Industries, and Jazan City for Basic and Transformation Industries. It is responsible for the development and management of petrochemical and energy-intensive industries in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

July 20, 2017

The Royal Commission for alUla was established to devise plans to preserve alUla's heritage and its historical and cultural value through a range of initiatives in the fields of archaeology, tourism, culture, education, and arts.

June 01, 2018

The Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites was established to develop the offered services, achieve sustainable development in Makkah al-Mukarramah and the Holy Sites, and devise and execute plans and strategies.

August 30, 2019

"Arriyadh Development Authority" was converted into the "Royal Commission for Riyadh City," to develop the capital city of Riyadh and execute development programs and projects.
