Security Forces Hospital in Riyadh
The Security Forces Hospital is a governmental hospital offering health services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the civilian and military staff of the Ministry of Interior and the Presidency of State Security, benefiting around four million citizens. It is supervised by the Ministry of Interior and is located in the capital, Riyadh. The hospital was established during the reign of King Faisal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. In 1972, its work began as a small dispensary with limited resources. Back then, it was known as the 'Security Forces Dispensary.' In 1975, the dispensary was expanded, becoming a hospital with a bed capacity of twenty beds. Over the past decades, the hospital continued executing its expansion plans throughout several developmental phases, ultimately reaching a bed capacity of 678 beds. The hospital opened several new medical units and completed the expansion and upgrade of other units and healthcare services to serve its beneficiary patients.

It offers several medical services through its various units and its 'Services Directory,' which is the hospital's platform. It serves three main sectors: individuals, the government, and businesses. Its services include inquiring about personal information, inquiring about family members' information, inquiring about appointments, scheduling appointments at Al-Malaz, West Riyadh, and East Riyadh branches of the Family and Community Medicine Clinics, inquiring about the medication list, inquiring about the status of a personal medical report request, filing for review, requesting radiology, endoscopy, and cardiology reports and images, and inquiring about laboratory analysis results.
Achievements of the Security Forces Hospital
The hospital realized several achievements in the field of medical recognitions and accreditations for most of its units and departments. In 2021, the hospital received full institutional accreditation for four years from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties upon meeting the requirements and criteria specified for obtaining the accreditation to provide professional health graduate programs. Within the scope of this accreditation, the training and supervision committees became affiliated with the hospital.
The hospital realized more achievements. In fact, in 2021, the hospital inaugurated the Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory, which provides several services, including gene monitoring for myeloid leukemia and genetic mutation tests for blood clotting factors. The laboratory contributes to the fight against any new viruses and conducts tests for cancer genetic markers.
