Saudi Gazette, is one of the leading English newspapers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The paper was first released to the market in 1976 from its headquarter in Jeddah and it is issued by Okaz Organization for Press and Publication.
Saudi Gazette enters the world of digital journalism
The newspaper has always transferred to the world interesting local news, events, and updates about Saudi Arabia in another language. But after the dominance of technology, the paper decided that it was time to stop publishing hard copies and go digital, and announced in 2019, after over four decades since its launch, that the issue 15075 will be its last paper copy. The farewell edition featured publications highlighting some of the remarkable articles published by the newspaper over the years, including the September 11 attacks, and the Gulf War, in addition to announcing the Saudi Vision 2030.

The newspaper published a final article in the same issue to announce shifting to internet websites, and it was titled: "New beginning: Change on the horizon as Saudi Gazette goes totally digital".On the other hand, members of the paper talked about the survival and continuity of Saudi Gazette's mission, which is adopting the English language to shed the light on local news about Saudi Arabia for readers around the world. Noting that the new step will boost the paper's number of readers across different digital platforms, and will be a paradigm shift in the scope of work as being on the Internet needs more than rapid publication, it requires focusing on updating journalistic content quickly in a very short period of time.
