Saudi Arabian Football Federation
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) serves as the entity overseeing football in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It organizes all domestic tournaments and oversees the participation of the Saudi national team in international championships. Founded on May 18, 1955, its headquarters is situated in the capital city of Riyadh. It is a sports federation with an independent and legal personality.
SAFF clubs
SAFF oversees 174 football clubs in Saudi Arabia across all technical levels: pro, first division, second division, third division, and fourth division. It establishes the rules and conditions specific to the local competitions and championships that it organizes or introduces. SAFF also determines the participating teams in each season. It specifies the start and end dates for each season, confers titles and awards, and hosts international competitions and championships.

General assembly of SAFF
SAFF is composed of the general assembly, which is the highest authority within the federation. It consists of forty-seven members led by the chairman of the board of directors. It issues resolutions, which are binding and enforceable. In addition to the general assembly, the board of directors serves as the executive authority of the federation. Additionally, there are permanent and temporary committees that fulfill advisory and collaborative roles, an elections committee, club licensing bodies, the general secretariat that is responsible for the administrative functions of the federation, judicial committees, and a dispute resolution chamber. SAFF adopts the national flag of the Kingdom as its flag. Its emblem consists of a circular fusion of a falcon's head, a football, and a palm tree in green and white colors.
SAFF is entitled to establish one or more subsidiary companies in accordance with the applicable laws in the Kingdom to enhance its commercial and investment activities. It has been a member of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) since its establishment, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) since 1972, and the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) since 1974. SAFF adheres to the regulations, bylaws, resolutions, and laws of football, as well as match schedules issued by FIFA and AFC. It practices football in accordance with the laws of the game issued by the International Football Association Board (IFAB). The federation, according to Article Four of its regulations, considers itself neutral in all religious and political matters. It imposes sanctions, including suspensions and expulsions, on individuals who take a discriminatory stance against a country or individuals on political, religious, racial, or sexual grounds.
