Rijal Almaa Governorate
Rijal Almaa Governate (Rijāl Almaʻ) is one of Aseer's governorates and is located southwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is home to 50,825 inhabitants, according to the 2022 statistics. Highlands constitute the eastern part of Rijal Alma. It is also one of the three governorates in the region overlooking the Red Sea coast.
Location
It is located 45 km west of Abha City, the capital of the Province. It is surrounded from the north and the northwest by Mahayil Governorate, from the southwest by the Red Sea, from the east by the Abha City, and from the south by Jazan Province.

The Governorate of Rijal Alma' is classified as a Category (A) governorate. Six administrative centers fall under it: half are Category "A", and the other half are Category "B". They are:

Historical importance
The governorate is famous for its historical villages, most notably the village of Rujal, one of the famous heritage landmarks in Saudi Arabia. The village includes adjacent historical six-storey palaces, built on mountain slopes overlooking the Kussan Valley.
Services
Residents of Rijal Almaa Governorate use the international Abha Airport, which is the nearest one to the governorate. It is 134 km far from the city center. The Secondary Route 211 is the main land transportation center in the city. By using it, it is possible to reach Rijal Almaa, and travel from the governorate to the main cities and vice versa.
