Ministry of National Guard Development Program

Ministry of National Guard Development Program is a program concerned with upgrading the performance of the Ministry of National Guard in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A Supreme Order was issued to establish the program in 2019. Subsequent Supreme Orders were issued to initiate a comprehensive study, form a higher committee to develop the ministry, approve the program's launch plan, and adopt the ministry's strategic direction.

Stages of Ministry of National Guard Development Program

Ministry of National Guard Development Program consists of six main phases. The first includes promoting continuous development. The second involves defining the ministry's positioning within the security and defense system, as well as defining the ministry's strategic direction, mission, and the features of its operational model, in addition to defining the strategic direction of health affairs and drawing a roadmap.

The third phase focuses on areas of improvement and the formulation of solutions to achieve the objectives of the transformation. The fourth phase involves preparing the development document of the Ministry of National Guard to prioritize initiatives and projects and to build a roadmap for implementing these initiatives to achieve the ministry's strategic objectives. The fifth phase includes preparing the ministry for the implementation phase by developing its operational plans and performance measurement metrics for the transformation, as well as working on a plan to implement the transformation of the Ministry of National Guard. The sixth phase involves implementing the transformation by launching initiatives, achieving results, and conducting evaluation.

Objectives of Ministry of National Guard Development Program

Ministry of National Guard Development Program aims to support and strengthen the capabilities and leadership of the Ministry, enhance military readiness, efficiently direct resources and capabilities, and improve internal integration as well as military and security coordination.

Scope of Ministry of National Guard Development Program

Ministry of National Guard Development Program targets all units of the Ministry, whether military, civilian, or health-related. In conjunction with the program, the Ministry of National Guard Strategy Development Project, the Ministry's Health Affairs Development Project, and other projects addressing military and civilian aspects are also implemented, as well as the Ministry's education and training program.

The program includes individual development as part of its comprehensive plan by establishing a training center at its headquarters, which seeks to integrate with training and educational entities to implement training plans.

Tatweer Training Program

Ministry of National Guard Development Program, in cooperation with the General Department of Human Resources and the Ministry's Education and Training Authority, launched the "Tatweer" training program in 2021. The program aims to empower the competencies of the Ministry's employees in the military and health sectors and to expand their expertise in several fields, increasing their readiness to keep pace with the Ministry's transformation phase.

Designed as a platform for the initial results of the Leadership Development Initiative, Tatweer is part of a series of specialized training programs aimed at developing the skills of the Ministry's employees at all levels, including administrative, technical, and leadership courses. To enable trainees to work as part of a team in an engaging development environment.
