Al-Hilal Club participated in the FIFA Club World Cup three times, in 2019, 2021, and 2022, with its fourth participation in 2025. The participation of Al-Hilal Club in the FIFA Club World Cup was due to being the champion of the AFC Champions League. Most notably, Al-Hilal Club was the runner-up of the FIFA Club World Cup, held in Morocco, in 2022.

Al-Hilal Club participated in the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar as the champion of the AFC Champions League. The team won over the Japanese team, Urawa Red Diamonds, scoring one goal against nothing during the game at King Saud University Stadium in the capital, Riyadh. Within the scope of the first leg of the AFC Champions League final, Al-Hilal faced Tunisian Al-Taraji Team in the first round and proceeded to the second round, where the team played against Brazilian club CR Flamengo before losing against C.F. Monterrey of Mexico, ending the club's participation upon ranking fourth.

Al-Hilal Club’s second participation in the FIFA Club World Cup 2021

Al-Hilal Club participated in the FIFA Club World Cup for the second time, where it represented the Asian continent, after its crowning as the champion of the AFC Champions League 2021 for the fourth consecutive year. During the second round of the championship, the club played against the host team, Al-Jazira of the UAE. In the semi-finals, Al-Hilal Club lost against Chelsea F.C. In the third and fourth place playoffs, the team lost against the Egyptian team Al-Ahly, ultimately ranking fourth by the end of the championship.

Al-Hilal Club participated in the FIFA Club World Cup for the third time, where it represented the Asian continent, after its crowning as the champion of the AFC Champions League 2022. Within the scope of the championship, Al-Hilal Club ranked second upon losing against the Spanish team, Real Madrid CF, during the finals, where it scored three goals against five, at the game held at Moulay Abdellah Sport Complex, in Rabat, Morocco. During the second round, the team played against the Moroccan Al-Rajaa team, where it qualified for the second round, played against the Brazilian club CR Flamengo, and eventually qualified for the finals, playing against Real Madrid CF.

Al-Hilal Club’s fourth participation in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025

Al-Hilal Club will participate in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 as the champion of the 2021 AFC Champions League. The first edition of this expanded tournament will be held from June 15 to July 13, 2025, with the participation of thirty-two teams instead of the seven initially competing teams during the tournament's previous versions. The games will be held in twelve stadiums, where the clubs will be divided into eight groups, each encompassing four clubs, with the first and second ranking teams of each group qualifying for the knockout rounds.
