Jeddah Handicrafts Association (Herafiah), is a non-profit institution specializing in vocational crafts training in Saudi Arabia, headquartered in Jeddah and its scope of work includes Makkah al-Mukarramah region. Established in 2009, it works in the field of social services, aiming to provide vocational training for artisans that ends with employment or a project, licensed by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development under number (452).

The association was founded to develop human capabilities and focus on skills, enhancing the concept of vocational learning and education. It operates based on a clear scientific methodology according to approved plans, aiming to contribute to developmental and economic projects in the crafts and handcrafts sector.

Objectives of Jeddah Handicrafts Association

The Jeddah Handicrafts Association works to improve the living standards of those working in the crafts sector, develop artisan business techniques, and advance their skills using the latest methods in the sector to produce high-quality crafts. It conducts studies to propose commercial projects offering job opportunities for trainees, in addition to showcasing crafts in all fields.

Training Methodology at Jeddah Handicrafts Association

The Jeddah Handicrafts Association supports artisans pre-training to prepare and enable them in this field, seeks cooperation with the private sector to identify job opportunities for trainees, and caters to their demand in service, professional, and craft positions. The association also supports small enterprises by conducting feasibility studies for their projects and collaborates with related bodies to offer loans and assist in establishing these small projects originating from home production and commercial establishments.
