Faris System is an automated self-service system for employees of the Ministry of Education, including teachers and administrative staff, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It enables them to obtain approvals from the relevant entities without having to visit the ministry or one of its departments. The name of the system is an acronym of Financial & Administration Resources Information System.

Objectives

Faris System aims to support the Ministry of Education employees, save time and effort, increase productivity, enhance and develop electronic transactions, and advance national development.

The system allows school principals to issue supplies from warehouses to schools through the website and track requests until delivered. This helps accelerate daily operations within the Ministry of Education.

Services

Faris System provides employees in the education sector with several electronic services. Through the website, employees can track their submitted requests or transactions until a decision is issued. These services include requesting leave, submitting a return-to-work notification after leave, requesting allowances, and requesting the interruption or extension of leave. Employees may also change the duration of their leave, cancel it, or submit a retirement request.

The system enables employees to obtain salary statements and access their basic information. It also provides access to their employment history, overtime records, and assignment records.

Faris System provides school principals with several electronic administrative permissions that enable them to complete tasks quickly. These permissions include submitting an employee’s return-to-work notification, requesting an allowance for an employee, and notifying the relevant entity of an employee’s absence. The system also allows school principals to inquire about employees and their requests.
