Cinamaa Platform
Cinamaa Platform, an initiative launched by the Saudi Film Commission, represented by the National Film Archive, on April 16, 2025, at the Cultural Palace in the city of Riyadh in the center of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aims to develop and publish cinematic content through diverse tracks including: the written, audio, and visual tracks.
Objectives
The Cinamaa Platform aims to enrich the local and Arab cinematic scene with critical knowledge materials, and to contribute to developing and publishing cinematic content through several tracks, such as the visual track and the written track, in addition to introducing the cinema industry and its criticism and the issues related to it, supporting critical and research activity and academic expansion, encouraging community dialogue around cinema, caring for the nurturing of talents, as well as stimulating cinematic platforms, providing a specialized space for filmmakers to showcase their output, contributing to documenting films and working to archive them, and also contributing to supporting the Saudi cultural heritage and strengthening Saudi Arabia’s position as a hub for the film industry.
Target group
The Cinamaa Platform targets producers and filmmakers to showcase and archive their films, in addition to film critics to convey their opinions and voices to the cinema community; it also targets cinema audiences.
Services
The Cinamaa Platform offers several services, namely: publications, articles, research and studies, a digital library, workshops, an audio podcast, critical sessions, and short films.
