Bahrah Governorate
Bahrah Governorate (Muḥāfad͟hat Baẖrah) is a governorate in Makkah Al-Mukarramah Province, western Saudi Arabia, and the sixth most populous area in the province, with a population of 94,603 living across an area of 4,756.21 km².
The governorate hosts several factories and the Shoaiba Desalination Plant. It also features a water treatment plant with a capacity of 500 cubic meters per day serving developmental housing projects.

Location of Bahrah Governorate
Bahrah Governorate is located in the western part of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Province, where the city of Makkah Al-Mukarramah serves as the provincial capital. It is bordered by Al-Lith Governorate to the south, Jeddah Governorate to the north, Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Al-Jamoum, and Taif governorates to the east, and Jeddah Governorate and the Red Sea to the west.
It lies approximately 34 km east of Jeddah and about 58 km from Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
Services
Residents of Bahrah Governorate use King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, located approximately 51 km away, which serves as the closest airport to it. Highway 40 runs through the governorate and terminates in Dammam, in the Eastern Province, acting as the primary land transport route for traveling to and from Bahrah.
