AlUla Club is one of the sport clubs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It plays in the First Division League (Yelo League). The club is based in AlUla Governorate in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Province. It was founded in 1978 and is nicknamed the “Arab Tigers.”
Establishment and naming of AlUla Club
In 1978, a match was held in AlUla Governorate, attended by the governor of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah at the time, Prince Abdulmohsen Bin Abdulaziz. His presence crowned the individual efforts devoted to sport and social activities in the region. Following the match, leaders from both teams spontaneously called for the establishment of a sport club in AlUla Governorate. Collective efforts succeeded, and the club was officially registered with the General Presidency of Youth Welfare (currently the Ministry of Sport) three years later, in 1981. AlUla Club was initially registered under the name Wadi Al-Qura in its first records with the presidency. This was because the Mada'in and AlUla clubs, when they agreed to merge their teams, decided that the new club’s name should differ from the two names already symbolizing the governorate. They chose instead a third name, known as one of the most famous valleys in the governorate: Wadi Al-Qura. Wadi Al-Qura. A few years later, the club returned to its current name, AlUla Sport Club.
Sport at AlUla Club
AlUla Club offers seventeen different sport in addition to its primary game, football. Among the most notable are futsal, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, athletics, darts, cycling, and electronic sport.

The club’s management approved the establishment of an independent department dedicated to women’s sport. In its first season, this department successfully launched several sports, including football, basketball, taekwondo, judo, and volleyball.

It also provides sport opportunities across AlUla Governorate through four sport complexes, geographically distributed to serve all neighborhoods. These are known as “community stadiums,” established as part of AlUla’s Sport Strategy to support the people of AlUla and enhance community participation in sport.
