The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (IEC) at Taif University is a scientific center affiliated with Taif University. It specializes in promoting a culture of innovation among faculty members, students, and graduates, as well as the residents of Taif Governorate in Makkah al-Mukarramah Province in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. IEC provides non-financial support to entrepreneurs who have ideas that may lead to the establishment of small or micro-enterprises in the future.

Objectives of IEC

IEC identifies entrepreneurs and talents, whether within the university or in Taif Governorate, encourages them, supports beginners in developing their ideas, and motivates graduates to engage in the labor market. Additionally, the center works with the university’s colleges to create projects in entrepreneurial environments.

Services of the IEC

IEC offers numerous events through the Maharat platform affiliated with Taif University. These events include training camps, such as the Digital Innovation and Tech Entrepreneurship Camp (Tomooh) in March 2022, and investment forums, including participation in the Investment Forum organized by the Taif Chamber. Additionally, it hosts workshops, most notably a workshop on the Maharat platform titled Critical Thinking and Its Relation to Innovation, and the Innovation in Digital Education Hackathon launched by Taif University in February 2022, along with various other events.
