
Qafilat al-Full Initiative is one of the initiatives launched by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission under the name "Qawafil al-Shuaara' Cultural Initiative." It seeks to disseminate literary content across the provinces of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by attracting an array of authors, artists, and influencers, to enrich the events' content, each within his area of expertise. It was held from September 22 to November 22, 2021.
Objectives of Qafilat al-Full Initiative
Qafilat al-Full Initiative seeks to disseminate Saudi literary content across Saudi Arabia's provinces. It aspires to enable literature, to ultimately become an integral part of people's lives, in addition to initially being a main resource for knowledge. It also aims to celebrate and disseminate Arabic poetry and literature culture and form direct communication channels between creators and the audience.
Qafilat al-Full - Jazan
The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission launched "Qafilat al-Full - Jazan" event in September 2021. The commission also held the initiative in several Saudi cities. It featured the participation of poets from Jazan Province, seeking to foster the local literary movement. The caravan traveled from Riyadh City to the provinces of Qassim, Hail, and al-Jawf, where it showcased poetry and creative content at the sites where it stopped. It featured the participation of poets from Jazan Province, who became part of the cultural activation offered by the caravan to its visitors from various community segments.
Qafilat al-Ward Initiative
The "Qafilat al-Ward Initiative" is among the initiatives launched by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission. The initiative hosted several poets from Taif City, including Aidah al-Sufiani, Ahmed al-Hilali, Dr. Wafaa Khinkar, and Latifah al-Osaimi. Literary evenings were held from October 22 to October 28, 2021. These evenings were held in Riyadh City on October 22, 2021, Qassim Province on October 24, 2021, Hail City on October 26, 2021, with the last evening held in al-Jawf, at King Abdullah Cultural Center, on October 28, 2021.
