Center for Architectural Studies and Research

The Center for Architectural Studies and Research is one of the scientific centers at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University in Dammam, located in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Established in 2009, the center operates in the field of scientific research and professional consultancy, particularly in the Eastern Province and throughout Saudi Arabia.

The Center for Architectural Studies and Research aims to build bridges of cooperation with community institutions by showcasing the center's scientific and material capabilities. It works to develop continuous working relationships with these institutions through plans and programs designed to address urban issues and challenges. The center contributes to studying, analyzing, and proposing solutions and alternatives or providing technical advice on such matters. Additionally, it identifies the needs of these institutions regarding workforce development and improving professional practices.

The Center for Architectural Studies and Research strives to achieve several goals, including providing opportunities for faculty members of the College of Architecture and Planning, specialists, and interested individuals from other university colleges in order to contribute to evaluating, addressing, and managing various architecture challenges. This is accomplished by offering technical advice to public and private institutions and creating a stimulating environment for conducting fundamental and applied studies and research on various urban development issues relevant to the Eastern Province and Saudi Arabia as a whole. The center also seeks to cope up with labor market demands, offer professional consultations in fields such as architecture, and building and construction engineering, and bridge the academic expertise of faculty members with practical application. This aims to enrich the concept of general development of the human urban environment, with a specific focus on enhancing the local urban environment.
