
Ifal Valley is a seasonal watercourse located within the boundaries of Tabuk Province, northwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is considered one of the province's natural tourist attractions, as its banks feature archaeological sites dating back to various historical periods.
Route of Ifal Valley
Ifal Valley is 170 km long, spanning the territories of Haql and al-Bada'i Governorates in Tabuk Province. It flows from east to southwest, originating from the mountains of Midian in the north and emptying into al-Khuraiba Bay on the Red Sea. The valley flows with an average gradient of ten m and is fed by al-Abyad Valley and al-Zaytah Valley.
Dam of Ifal Valley
The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture constructed a dam on Ifal Valley with a storage capacity of two million m. The dam is 401 m long and twelve m high. It is an earth-fill dam covered with concrete, and its construction cost amounted to SAR7 million.
