The Jeddah Central Project aims to establish a world-renowned destination in the heart of Jeddah city, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The project will boast stunning views of the Red Sea and is expected to boost the economic status of the city. Jeddah Central Project was launched in 2021 by the Crown Prince, Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Chairman of the Public Investment Fund, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jeddah Central Development Company, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The Jeddah Central Project, formerly referred to as Jeddah New Downtown, has a total investment of SAR75 billion, which will be used to develop an area of 5.7 million m2. The Public Investment Fund, along with investors from inside and outside of Saudi Arabia, are funding the project. This project is in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to create a prosperous economy and a lively community, enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors, and promote environmental sustainability in accordance with the Saudi Green Initiative.

The project contributes to diversifying sources of income and driving the progress of the national economy. It also creates more job opportunities for Saudi men and women and offers integrated solutions for the business sector. In addition, the project targets achieving an added value of SAR47 billion to the Kingdom's economy by 2030.

Jeddah Central Project landmarks

By 2027, the project will have completed its first phase, consisting of four impressive landmarks: an opera house, a museum, a sports stadium, and marine aquariums with coral farms. Additionally, there will be ten top-notch entertainment and tourism projects, 17,000 modern residential units, and several hotels offering over 2,700 rooms. The second phase of the Jeddah Central Project is scheduled to be completed by 2030, while the third phase is planned for after 2030.

The project adopts modern designs with international standards while preserving elements of the urban fabric inspired by the architecture of the Hejaz region. It also incorporates the latest global technologies. Over five hundred engineers and consultants from five of the world's leading companies participated in the overall master plan design.

Diverse options in Jeddah Central Project

The project is planned to include a world-class marina and stunning beach resorts, along with a collection of luxurious local and international hotels, restaurants, and cafes. It will boast various natural elements, including a 9.5 km-long waterfront with a water strip, a marina that hosts yachts from inside and outside the Kingdom, and a 2.1 km-long sandy beach. Forty percent of the project is dedicated to green spaces, open areas, and public facilities.
