Initiatives of the Federation of Saudi Chambers Institute
On December 14, 2022, the Federation of Saudi Chambers Institute launched the 'Caravan Finance' Initiative in collaboration with chambers of commerce, and with the participation of the Social Development Bank, the Agricultural Development Fund, and the Saudi Industrial Development Fund. This initiative aims to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by facilitating access to financing services provided by government funding agencies. The 'Caravan Finance' reflects the Federation’s role in supporting the SME sector, which represents over 99.7 percent of commercial establishments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Under Saudi Vision 2030, the sector's contribution to the gross domestic product (GDP) is targeted to increase to 35 percent.
