
Talal Maddah Theater is located at the heart of the King Fahd Cultural Center in al-Muftaha Village, Abha City, Aseer Province, south of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In 2019, the Minister of Culture Prince Badr Bin Abdullah Bin Farhan named the theater after the late Saudi artist Talal Maddah to honor his rich artistic legacy in the history of Saudi music.
Talal Maddah Theater is one of the largest theaters in Saudi Arabia, with a capacity of 3,500 seats. It has hosted major events and artistic performances since the mid-1990s, including the final concert of the late Talal Maddah in 2000. The theater continues to host annual events in the province.
Al-Muftaha Village is one of the prominent tourist landmarks in Saudi Arabia and receives significant attention from the Ministry of Culture as part of the comprehensive project to develop the Saudi cultural sector in collaboration with official entities. The development plan includes enhancing all aspects of the village. In addition to Talal Maddah Theater, al-Muftaha Village features King Fahd Cultural Center, historic al-Muftaha site, and artisan shops.
