Aseer Province, located in the southwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is rich in many handicrafts and traditional industries that represent the province's culture and traditions, as well as the skills and talents of its people, contributing to the preservation of traditional arts. Among these are:
- The art of 'al-Qatt al-Asiri,' which was inscribed on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2017, is an ancient art form in Aseer Province. It is used to decorate the interior walls of homes with colorful geometric patterns inspired by nature and the surrounding culture.
- The craft of traditional bladed weapons manufacturing, metal casting to produce ornaments and jewelry, and silver crafting.
- Preparing bouquets, wreaths, pots, and headbands from aromatic plants, including basil, bulrush, wormwood, and thatch screwpine.
- The making of the Aseeri dress, which has been known since ancient times for its distinctive lines. It was originally woven from striped silk, and is now made from various modern fabrics that mimic traditional styles in their colors and patterns.
- Palm frond weaving, using palm fronds and midribs, involves exposing the materials to the sun to change their color. They are then gathered into pieces of fabric. The resulting products are used for mats, floor coverings, prayer rugs, baby cradles, baskets, cages, and ropes.
- The production of various types of honey, including 'Samar' and 'Salam' in the Tihama areas, as well as from 'Ziziphus spina-christi,' 'Acacia asak,' and 'Vachellia seyal' trees.
