Where Is the World's Largest Integrated Aluminum Production Complex Located?

The world's largest integrated aluminum production complex is located in Ras al-Khair Industrial City in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It includes a smelter with an annual production capacity of 740,000 t of aluminum. Its first production was in 2012, led by the "Ma’aden Aluminum" Project, part of the Saudi Arabian Mining Company "Ma’aden".

Ma'aden's aluminum project operates from two key production sites: one located in Ras al-Khair Industrial City and the other in al-Baaethah, north of Qassim Province. These sites are interconnected through a unified mining network, ensuring seamless production integration.

"Ma'aden" Company owns an alumina refinery with an annual production capacity of 1.8 million t of processed alumina. The project also includes a rolling mill that produces aluminum sheets for the automotive and downstream industries, along with a specialized aluminum recycling unit.
