At-Turaif Mosque is one of the monuments in at-Turaif District, in Diriyah Governorate, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is one of Diriyah's historical mosques. It was built for the first time during the First Saudi State. It was one of the most prominent and largest mosques in Najd back then and a hub for teaching students writing and other sciences.

History of at-Turaif Mosque

At-Turaif Mosque is located in the northeastern part of at-Turaif District, inscribed under UNESCO's World Heritage List. It is located at the district's entrance. It was built after Imam Abdulaziz Bin Mohammed Bin Saud initiated the construction of at-Turaif District in 1766. He was martyred there in 1803 while performing Asr Prayer. It covered an area of approximately two thousand m. It was known for its strong structure and large capacity. A small prayer room was located on its roof and was used by Imam Saud Bin Abdulaziz Bin Mohammed for performing prayers.

A small mosque was built at the southwest corner of the mosque in a later period. Its walls and columns were made of stone, and its roof was made of wood. It consisted of a cement floor, and gypsum was used for the walls. It forms the center of the current mosque.
