Mohammed Maziad al-Tuwaijri has been an advisor to the Royal Court in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since March 5, 2020, where he holds the rank of minister. He is the chairman of the committee of the National Transformation Program. He held the position of Minister of Economy and Planning from 2017 to 2020. In addition to his membership in the Council of Ministers and the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, he was nominated for the position of Director General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in 2020.
Life of Mohammed al-Tuwaijri
Mohammed al-Tuwaijri holds a bachelor's degree from King Faisal Air Academy and earned a master's degree in business administration with honors from King Saud University in Riyadh in 1998. He assumed several leadership positions. He is the former Minister of Economy and Planning, the Secretary General of the Financial Committee of the Royal Court from 2016 to 2017, and the deputy chairman of the board of directors of the National Development Fund.
He was the president of several companies. He was the executive chairman of JP Morgan in the Kingdom from 2007 to 2010. He was also the regional head for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region of the Banking Services Department of HSBC Bank from 2010 to 2014 before he became executive chairman and deputy chairman for the MENA region at HSBC Bank from 2014 to 2016.

Mohammed al-Tuwaijri chaired the boards of directors of several entities. He was the chairman of the board of directors of the Royal Saudi Arabian Air, the General Authority for Statistics, and the National Center for Privatization and PPP. He is also a board member of the Public Investment Fund and Saudi Aramco. In addition, he established strategic partnerships in several countries.
