King Khalid Equestrian Square is a horse racing venue located in Taif Governorate, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It hosts the annual summer racing season over four months, during which competitors strive for various cups. The field is equipped to prepare horses of different grades and ages for races, including preparation for participation in major races. Horse racing has been held in this field since 1965, and it is supervised by the Jockey Club, headquartered in the field.

Races held at King Khalid Equestrian Square

The King Khalid Equestrian Square hosts the Taif Racing Season, featuring twenty-four events spread over twelve weeks, with eight rounds every day per event. Six new cups have been introduced, including: King Faisal Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses, Taif Cups for two-year-old colts and fillies, two cups for three-year-old colts and fillies, and Okaz Cup.

Two auction-sold horse race rounds were added to the race, each with a prize of SAR500,000, supported by the Jockey Club. Twenty-two rounds for two-year-olds and fourteen rounds for three-year-olds have been added. Additionally, imported horses were allowed broader participation in rounds previously limited to local breeds.

The field offers visitors an opportunity to enjoy horse racing and watch it up close. General admission is free, subject to the Jockey Club's terms and conditions, and online registration is available for all to get both free and premium ticket packages. Premium tickets start at SAR35. Visitors can access the field’s facilities and enjoy the races from complimentary seats in grandstands overlooking the field track. The field also hosts evening events during the racing season, alongside entertainment and musical activities, various retail stores, food corners and trucks, and various dining options, especially during major and huge cup evenings. Interactive competitions, such as predicting winning horses in rounds, are also available for the spectators, with the chance to win prizes. The “Club Pulse” wing, which provides a close view of the race, is also accessible.
