His Excellency Khalid Bin Abdulrahman al-Issa (born 10 March 1960) is a Minister of State, a member of the Council of Ministers, and a member of the Council of Political and Security Affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Khalid Bin Abdulrahman's education
He was born in Riyadh, the capital, and completed his basic education there. He then enrolled at King Saud University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He holds a diploma in English Language from the United States of America and a diploma in Arabic shorthand from the Institute of Diplomatic Studies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1997. He later obtained a master's degree in Public Administration from the College of Administrative Sciences at King Saud University in 1998.
Khalid Bin Abdulrahman's career
He began working at the Royal Court in the Translation and Languages Department in 1984. The following year, he moved to the Editing Department at the Private Office of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the Royal Court. The next year, he worked in the Follow-up Department in the General Directorate of Telegrams at the Bureau of the Council of Ministers. From 1987 to 1990, he served in the Editing and Shifts Department in the same directorate. The following year, he worked in the Secret Office within the same administration. He then worked in the Secretarial Department, supervising shifts, occasions, and information in the directorate. In 1995, he worked in the Department of Minutes and Committees as a coordinator and secretary for numerous committees in the Royal Court. In 1996, he was appointed Deputy Director General of the Operations Department of the Supreme Ministerial Committee at the Bureau of the Council of Ministers, in addition to overseeing rotations and shifts in the General Directorate of Telegrams.
Al-Issa was appointed Deputy Private Secretary to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince in 2000. Two years later, he became an advisor at the Bureau of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, in addition to his role as Deputy Private Secretary, until 2005, when an order was issued appointing him as Deputy Private Secretary to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the Royal Court. On October 9, 2005, a Royal Order was issued appointing him as Deputy Chief of the Royal Court with the rank of minister. In 2011, he was appointed by Royal Order as Deputy Chief of the Royal Court and Deputy Private Secretary to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques with the rank of minister, following the merger of the Bureau of the Council of Ministers with the Royal Court. He was tasked with heading the Royal Court for approximately four years, from 2015 until 2019.
