Dunya Abutaleb

Dunya Abutaleb is a Saudi taekwondo athlete who had the honor of raising the Saudi delegation's flag at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics upon her selection by the Saudi Olympic Committee. She is an Arab champion, the first Saudi recipient of a bronze medal in Asia, and the best Arab and Saudi female athlete for 2022.

Dunya Abutaleb embarked on her martial arts journey at eight years old, fueled by the support of her father who encouraged her to practice this sport, and the Ministry of Sport enabling her to win titles and compete continentally and internationally.

- Competing at the thirty-third Summer Olympic Games in Paris and reaching the taekwondo quarterfinals.

- Arab Taekwondo Championship Cup gold medalist twice (2020 and 2024).

- First Saudi recipient of a bronze medal in Asia, in South Korea (2022).

- Bronze medalist of the World Championship held in Mexico (2022).

- Ranked fourth in the international rankings for the -53 kg weight category.

- Best Arab female athlete for 2022.

- Best Saudi female athlete for 2022.

Dunya Abutaleb's passion for this sport led her to achieve her dream of competing in the Paris 2024 Olympics, where she proudly carried the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's flag upon her selection by the Saudi Olympic Committee.

In July 2024, al-Qadsiah Club officially concluded a contract with the international taekwondo athlete, Dunya Abutaleb, transferring from al-Ahli Club.
