The Saudi Rotorcraft Support Company (SRSC) is a Saudi company that provides maintenance and technical support services for rotorcraft. SRSC was established in August 2015.
Ownership of SRSC
SRSC is owned by Boeing, Saudi Aerospace Engineering Industries, and Alsalam Aerospace Industries. In 2015, these companies signed a partnership agreement to establish the company in the cities of Riyadh and Jeddah.
In 2022, the General Authority for Competition approved the acquisition of a 51 percent stake in the Saudi Rotorcraft Support Company by Saudi Arabian Military Industries Limited Co. (SAMI), which is one of the companies under the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF).
Objectives of SRSC
The objectives of the Saudi Rotorcraft Support Company include investing in Saudi talent and providing sustainable job opportunities for Saudi youth. This contributes to the development and enhancement of technical and engineering skills, as well as support for national competencies in the field of the rotorcraft industry. SRSC supports rotorcraft platforms in both the civil and military sectors, including Boeing AH-64 (Apache), CH-47 (Chinook), and AH-6i helicopters. In addition to supporting the localization of the defense industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expanding the rotorcraft fleet, and assisting in achieving the key objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Certifications of SRSC
SRSC has obtained several professional certifications, including the Repair Station Certificate from the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in February 2021. It is the first repair station specialized in rotorcraft maintenance in the Kingdom. It also received the AS9110 quality certification for maintenance organizations and the AS9120 certification for distributors in June 2021, enabling the company to serve the aviation and defense sectors.
