The Saudi eLeague was launched in 2020 and is considered the crown jewel of Esports tournaments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The goal of this championship is to create and develop the best clubs and players, qualifying them for various national and international competitions and representing the Kingdom on global stages.
The league is supervised by the Saudi Esports Federation (SEF), which was established in 2017. SEF is the regulatory body responsible for nurturing top gamers and developing the gaming community and industry in the Kingdom. This is achieved through two integrated pathways: the first focuses on developing competitive players at all levels, from grassroots to professional esports athletes capable of achieving global excellence, while the second aims to develop the entire value chain of gaming or esports by stimulating the industry and empowering talents.
The most valuable esports championship
The Saudi eLeague is the largest esports tournament in the Kingdom, with a prize pool of SAR6.2 million. It features sixty teams and includes three thousand male and female players.
