Diriyah Club is one of the sports clubs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Its main headquarters is in ad-Dir'iyyah Governorate, Riyadh Province, and it is overseen by the Ministry of Sport.

History of Diriyah Club

Diriyah Club was established in 1976, and the club is called as al-Annabi and al-Auja. Despite its longstanding establishment, the club has not participated in the Saudi Professional League. However, it has competed several times in the First Division League without winning the title but has achieved the Second Division League title twice. The club remained in the First Division League for three seasons before ascending again.

Like many sports clubs, where performance levels fluctuate due to administrative conditions, Diriyah Club has experienced periods of athletic success. The second decade of the twenty-first century is considered the club's golden era, during which it achieved promotion to the First Division twice and competed to remain in the league.

Sports activities at Diriyah Club

Diriyah Club includes a number of sports in which the club competes at the local level. Football is the primary sport, alongside volleyball, table tennis, tennis, swimming, judo, karate, taekwondo, badminton, electronic sports, and gymnastics.

In 2023, Diriyah Club ownership was transferred to the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) following the initiation of the sports club privatization project.
