The chosen master plan and design are inspired by "mountainous terrain" and seamlessly integrate with King Abdulaziz Park by connecting to the valley that runs through the park and surrounding green spaces. The architectural design of the main stadium features green walls and roofs covering an area of over 96,500 m. The design is inspired by local architecture and meets environmental sustainability and green building requirements. This will create a unique global sports architectural icon capable of hosting prominent local and international entertainment events. It will also contribute to improving the quality of life in Riyadh and enhancing the city's global ranking to become one of the "most livable cities in the world."

Features of King Salman International Stadium

King Salman International Stadium includes a variety of facilities for different sports activities, as well as several commercial centers and recreational areas available for all age groups throughout the day. This makes it an attractive destination for visitors from both inside and outside the Kingdom. The seating areas include a royal box with 150 seats, 120 hospitality suites, three hundred VIP seats, and 2,200 seats for important personalities. The stadium features sustainable cooling systems for the spectator seats and the stadium floor. Additionally, the top of the stadium is surrounded by internal screens for the audience, as well as indoor gardens and a walking path on the stadium's roof with a view of King Abdulaziz Park.

Facilities of King Salman International Stadium

The master plan for King Salman International Stadium includes several sports facilities surrounding the main stadium, covering an area of over 360,000 m. Key features include two auxiliary training fields, fan zones, an indoor sports hall, an Olympic swimming pool, and a track for athletics. Additionally, there are outdoor courts for sports such as volleyball, basketball, and padel. These facilities are interconnected by a sports track that stretches up to nine km around the perimeter of King Abdulaziz Park.
