Al-Safiyyah Museum and Park Project

Al-Safiyyah Museum and Park Project in al-Madinah al-Munawwarah is one of the projects of al-Madinah al-Munawwarah Region Development Authority. The foundation stone was laid on November 24, 2018, on an area of 4,419 m. It consists of the cultural park, the museum display area, and the commercial and entertainment services area.

Al-Safiyyah Museum and Park Project is located in the central area of al-Madinah al-Munawwarah, south of the Prophet's Mosque, along a main axis leading to al-Salam Gate at the front of the Prophet's Mosque

The project is part of al-Madinah al-Munawwarah Region Development Authority's efforts, in collaboration with all partners, to enrich and deepen the knowledge and cultural experience of the region's visitors and guests. This is achieved by preparing tourist, cultural, and archaeological sites and providing exceptional services tailored for visitors to al-Madinah al-Munawwarah, reflecting the Kingdom's civilizational image in serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors.

Al-Safiyyah Museum and Park Project was established as part of the Madinah Humanization Program, embodying a model in building designs that harmonize with the identity of al-Madinah al-Munawwarah. This is reflected in the configurations of the project's main building, with palm groves distributed in an architectural manner between floors in the form of terraces, surrounded by basins and water fountains overlooking the park, cafes, restaurants, and shops.

Al-Safiyyah Museum and Park Project has allocated large spaces for commercial purposes, such as souvenir shops, cafes, and restaurants. These commercial areas are distributed across the six levels of the project: the basement, the ground floor, and the four upper floors.

The planned al-Safiyyah Museum and Park Project is being implemented in partnership with fifteen international consulting firms specializing in economic, architectural, administrative, museum, technical, environmental, and operational aspects. It will offer a variety of digital museum exhibits by employing audiovisual capabilities.

Al-Safiyyah Museum and Park Project includes the Story of Creation Museum, a digital interactive museum consisting of two floors beneath al-Safiyyah Park. It covers the story of creation from the beginning, through the origin of the universe and the prophets, to the end of the world, using advanced display techniques.
