The Saudi Media Association (SMA) is an association that serves media personnel in all fields. It was established on May 4, 2020, and registered with the National Center for Non-profit Sector under number 1863. The association has launched various projects, programs, and initiatives to achieve its vision, goals, and mission.

Vision, mission, and objectives of the Saudi Media Association

The Saudi Media Association strives to achieve its vision of leading the development of the Saudi media community and providing the necessary support. It aims to contribute to empowering the Saudi media community by organizing various projects and initiatives, as well as implementing numerous quality programs with sustainable goals.

The association aims to achieve numerous goals, including engaging the community in volunteer work, developing and enhancing the skills of Saudi media professionals, improving the financial efficiency of the association, diversifying resources and protecting income sources, supporting and assisting Saudi media personnel, enhancing administrative efficiency and developing operational systems, producing and disseminating quality media content, and contributing to the establishment of ethical principles and values in the media.

The association adopts specialized research and studies in various media arts, providing executive summaries for practical use. It also plans and implements targeted and specialized media training programs and courses.

Saudi Media Association agreements

The association has signed strategic partnerships and quality agreements to support its projects, programs, and plans. It initiated agreements with Asharqia Group, Missab Media Company, and Tatheer Media Production Company to collaborate on various projects and initiatives. The association also signed an agreement with Prince Ahmed Bin Salman Applied Media Academy to implement a series of programs and training courses.

As part of its agreements portfolio, the association signed an agreement with the Council of Non-profit Associations in Riyadh Province to establish a unified media center for the non-profit sector in Riyadh. It also entered into an agreement with the Autism Families Association to highlight the association's role in serving this segment of society. Additionally, the association reached agreements with the Orphan Care Charitable Foundation (Ekhaa) and the Projects Association to collaborate in providing consulting services for the development and implementation of related projects. Furthermore, it partnered with Content House to contribute to the publication of studies, research, and articles in various media arts.

The association also signed an agreement with the Saudi Human Resources Society, Bishr, to support human resources within the organization. This includes employing a group of young people through the corporate social investment initiative. Additionally, the association signed an agreement with the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce to activate the Economic Media Club, aiming to achieve its goals of promoting specialization in economic media.

Initiatives and programs of the Saudi Media Association

The association has adopted a range of initiatives and programs, including organizing the Prince Ahmed Bin Salman Media Forum, which is held every two months and targets all media professionals of both genders. It also organizes media discussions every two months aimed at young men and women. Additionally, the association hosts the Saudi Media Forum once a year, where media professionals discuss matters related to media in the Kingdom and ways to develop it.
