The Saudi Equestrian Federation was established on December 27, 1989, under the umbrella of the Saudi Arabian Olympic and Paralympic Committee.
The Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia was established in 1965, and approval for regulating the club was issued on August 25, 2020. Its aim is to hold horse races in the Kingdom, arrange international participation, and oversee all horse racing programs, schedules, and regulations.
The Saudi Equestrian Federation organizes various annual activities, such as show jumping championships, endurance races, horseback archery, and dressage.
Equestrian Sports Events Company, under the umbrella of the Saudi Equestrian Federation, organized the Longines Show Jumping Champions Tour as part of the Diriyah Season, featuring top international riders, as well as the Riyadh International Show Jumping Championship.
The Horse Racing Club organizes the Riyadh Season Races every year, featuring elite riders and horses. The events include the Founder’s Cup, known as the "Crown of Championships," and the "Saudi Cup," held at King Abdulaziz Racetrack in al-Janadriyah.
