Yes, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia supports the green economy, which is fundamentally based on knowledge of environmental economics aimed at addressing the interrelationship between human economies and the natural ecosystem, as well as the adverse effects of human activities on climate change and global warming. It relies on green energy sources, which are generated from renewable energy, to preserve energy resources.
The Kingdom has moved to achieve Vision 2030, and its strategy encompasses several pillars: supporting local renewable energy research centers, establishing a renewable energy industry, creating training institutes to prepare Saudi youth, connecting medium and small-scale solar energy projects to the Saudi electricity grid, attracting foreign investment for contribution to the sector, establishing an office for the development of renewable energy projects, launching the 2030 Solar Energy Plan, signing a USD200 billion agreement with SoftBank for two hundred GW, and joining the International Solar Alliance.
