Establishment of Al-Khaleej Club
Al-Khaleej Club was founded in 1945 by a group of residents of Saihat. At that time, the idea was to establish a football team representing the city to compete in the football league organized by the Arabian American Oil Company (Saudi Aramco), which included teams representing the expatriate communities working for the company. The club was initially established under the name Al-Nisr, with yellow and black as its colors. By order of King Faisal Bin Abdulaziz, after he attended one of the football team’s matches against Al-Shabab Club in Riyadh, the club’s name was changed to “Al-Khaleej Club,” with its yellow and green logo.
