Al-Murabba Palace, also known as King Abdulaziz Palace, is located in Al-Murabba Neighborhood in the heart of Riyadh City, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is one of the historical palaces linked to the Founding King Abdulaziz Bin Abdulrahman Al Saud. The palace was the first structure built outside the old city walls of Riyadh. King Abdulaziz ordered the palace’s construction in 1937 and moved into it in 1938, thirty-eight years after he entered Riyadh, having previously resided in Qasr Al-Hukm.

The palace was built on flat, fertile land that was cultivated during the rainy seasons. It was surrounded by the orchards Al-Foutah and Al-Houtah to the south, Wadi Al-Batha to the east, Wadi Abu Rafi‘ to the west, and some elevated terrain to the north. It was located approximately two km north of the old city of Riyadh.

Al-Murabba Palace is distinguished by its traditional Najdi architectural style, with thick walls and high ceilings covered with palm fronds and branches. It houses several memorabilia at the King Abdulaziz Historical Center, including King Abdulaziz's personal belongings, such as his eyeglasses and photographs from meetings with world leaders.

The palace, built on an area of 1,680 m, witnessed key events and Royal decisions, such as the establishment of the Ministry of Defense, Saudi Radio, and the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (currently the Saudi Central Bank). It also witnessed the issuance of the Saudi currency, the launch of formal schools, the construction of the railway between Riyadh and Dammam, and the enactment of several laws, including those related to telegraph services, roads and buildings, pensions, labor and employment, chambers of commerce, and passports.
